Good read. I didn't know about the SAR's. I took a few pics of the Orion constellation during the aurora, pointing the camera straight up. They had a red band all the way across the screen. That must have been the SAR. I'll post the pic later tonight.According to spaceweather.com, we have reached the solar maximum period.
