Natures Cafe Layer Pellets

Well if she did have drakes, this would have far too much calcium! But for laying ducks, this is a fine food but it's not optimal. She already said she is going to switch to a lower protein feed soon. But it will be adequate until then.
 
I just talked to my avian vet and she said that for a little while, 20% is fine for laying ducks. Just to clarify @CarleeAnn , they are laying, right? Anyways, she told me that too much protein could result in weight gain and could cause even more problems down the road.
 
Before I changed feed to a Non GMO I used Purina Flock Raiser for years. Never had any problems with it I am pretty sure other use it too @Ravynscroft ? The reason I liked it was it is formulated for all poultry which is nice when you have a mixed flock.
I totally agree that Ravyn knows stuff about Ducks...But others do give great info too and actually know a bit more on certain subjects..
 
3 year old laying duck... she prefers 20%...
