Coyotes are now in all of NC's 100 counties. One of our friends who has ducks said that they surrounded his duck house this past summer. His dogs started barking and he made a lot of noise and they left. I am sure they will make some more visits. There was an article in local paper with a picture of a coyote on this woman's back porch enjoying himself. She stated that she is too scared to even go in her backyard.
Any advice on "What to do if you came across a pack of coyotes drooling at your ducks?"

Get out the gun. That is the ONLY way to get rid of them. Coyotes have tried to kill our lambs and chickens over the years. That is way we show no mercy anymore. The reason they increase so fast is because even if something happens to the mother, the father and the rest of the pack take care of the pups. They will continue to come back, the have no fear. Good luck to you.

I go with this, although I do have a nice .223 rifle with hollow points. Now to find a cheap taxidermist... figure be a nice living room piece lol

They are terrible in this area too and are quite bold. The only thing a person can do is make livestock areas like fort knox (electric fencing and all) and shoot the coyotes.
