NC/SC Someone please save my goose

Could be a goose. My girls hiss at strangers now, during breeding season. I would have thought a goose would have laid an egg by now in your area. A gosling would help. Last year when my goose died my gander was very lonely. He adopted 2 female goslings and 3 weeks later adopted 4 more goslings. He was a great protector.

I didn't really expect her to lay any eggs this year even if she is a girl. I heard most big breeds can take up to their second year to lay eggs and she won't even be a year until mid may. I'm glad to here yours took to a gosling. That makes me feel a lot better about it. I just hope I can find someone with one gosling that they know is female. I would hate to be wrong and have two ganders fighting

Yea it's beginning to look like distance is going to be my main problem. Not many "goose-people" in my area

Hi, I was wondering if you found a home for your goose? My neighbors are not happy

Need some help

Sorry, I haven't had any luck yet. I'm in an odd area for finding goose people but if I manage to find a place good enough that I would be willing to let mine go there I will let you know. Try posting your problem in the animals that need free re-homing forum branch as well. Might help.

Thank you for answering, yes, I like to hear if you find a home good enough please let me know, we are under the gun have 30 days to rehome. Thanks again for caring enough to answer. Aryana

I have thought of them, but I just wouldn't feel comfortable enough to let them re home her without me being able to see where she ends up. I do plan to contact them if I end up deciding to get her a friend instead. So Aryana, what do you have that you're trying to re home?
