NEAS Meet-up's Westford ma (buy sell swap)11/4 see post #1090

Go to www.neasociety.com.Never mind,I thought you were talking about the NAS meeting. The topsfield auction is held once a year.I believe it is 1 week after the fair ends, but I am not positive. The NAs meeting is once a month, the first sun of the month. They do have a small auction and sales in the parking lot, meeting inside.

I was wondering if this is open to all or limited to those participating in the fair?

As for the NAS, I didn't realize there was an auction as well. Sometimes, or all the time?

There is an auction at every meeting.Sometimes they isn't much in the auction, but there is always something worth looking at.You need to be a member to buy now,I personally think it is foolish.

the auction at the fairgrounds is the weekend after the fair ends.it is open to anyone. and is always a good turn out.

I hear you TOny. It is what it is--don't want to mess with insurance. lol
The club has been in existence since 1974,there has never been an issue with insurance before.I would think where the club pays rent to the sportsmens club that the sportsmens club would cover any insurance issues. As far as I know, and I have been a member for at least 25 years, there has never been an insurance case filed against the club.I do feel that the club should have it's own insurance, but to make people join to buy so they would be coverder on insurance,is just a joke and it will lose the club business.Just my thoughts.

Quote: I do think you are right. To bring in the most buyers, eliminate the entry charge, so to speak. IT is out of our hands. I can't make this next sale unfortuantely; was planning to but just won't work out. I'm on the fence about the next, Dec, event. Maybe I will wait and see if the turnout declines.

thinking about trying to make to this meet sunday, if we do , i have a roll of barb wire for sale, 100 gal water trough, 2 mini rex young bucks, a couple of barred rock x bantam pullets about 2 weeks old, a couple of black phoenix pullets about 2 weeks old now, also a rabbit coop used good size.

SHay--I always love to hear what you are bringing! Always an eclectic collection!!

I'm severely bummed as DH would say. I so wanted to make this swap! I have a number of POL pullets that need a new home. Buff ORpingtons and homegrown easter eggers. A number of BO and EE cockrels, too. ANd a few black copper marans boys which are great for making olive eggers.

Will be thinking of all of you while at a soccer game.
