Nebraskans Speak Up!!! NEBRASKA ROCKS!!

Wait, an hour south of Norfolk? You are not too far from me then! I am about 1.5 hours south of Norfolk. Hihi!
Oh wow did I really type south? I think it was like 6am when I posted that, I meant north :gigI am by Pierce. I think Norfolk is about 45 minutes from where I am, but I am a horribly slow, cautious driver and I take an hour to get there. I travel a lot, I'm always in either Norfolk or Omaha.

The eggs in my incubator came from Dixon also! I am currently listening to the little chicks hatch. How did yours turn out?

My babies are FANTASTIC!!!! We got 11 babies, all colors of d'uccles, birchen cochins and one cute white capped black polish. What kind of babies did you get? Pics?

I got Salmon Faverolles for myself and BBS Ameraucanas for my friend. No real pictures of the Ameraucanas because I gave them to my friend straight out of the incubator, but here are a few pictures of my broody Blondie continuing to be a fantastic mama (this is the second batch of chicks she has fostered).

Welcome!
Been a tough couple of weeks on the farm. We are juggling new miniature donkeys, who are adorable and awesome. We lost two birds to cocci. I hated to put them down, but they weren't bouncing back.

Alpacas start arriving soon.

Up to my eyeballs canning.

State games start this weekend.

Phew

Does anyone know of upcoming exotic bird and animal auctions coming up? I just found out Bloomfield will no longer be holding their auctions anymore. I really want to avoid West Point's, it's so big I don't want to try and fight the crowds. I had a few ornamentals I was wanting to rehome, let me know if you're personally interested.
So yeah any upcoming bird auctions around Northeast Nebraska? :) GO BIG RED

Everyone in eastern Ne ready to grow gills? I know I am. I'm NOT ready for colder weather at all. I don't want it.
I am SICK of wet and wet and more wet.
Wet livestock, wet barn, wet runs, wet socks and shoes. Looking at 5+ inches the next few days, but thank goodness it's not snow...!

I'm up closer to Yankton SD, and we actually had a few snowflakes in September. The weather has been nuts, nonstop rain since.... feels like forever haha! Coyotes are moving in like crazy though, there were probably six outside about an hour ago fighting with my dogs, they chased them off north thankfully. I'm wondering if we are in for a rough winter...... even my goats are growing a thick coat already.
