Also, some friends of ours are looking to hatch duck eggs for a school project. Anyone have ducks, duck expertise, or know where one might get duck eggs?

This guy almost always has Khaki Campbell, Blue Runner and Mallard eggs. Give him a shout. We just picked up some babies from him.

Waving ...girls are enjoying the open coop despite or chilly nights. Molting has dropped prodection to half, but that's ok.

Pondering the run extension build while I try to shake bronchitis, flu, walking pneumonia or whatever this plague is.

Neighbors up the road finished their coop and asked 4 chcicks. Offered eggs or incubation 4 them, haven't heard back yet.

Really! Wow we are getting nothing. I heard there was Thundersnow just south of us in Kansas but all we are getting is a few showers.

Hi All...Still working on the coop. It has been wrapped in tar paper for the rain and wind the last 2 days. Hope to try to get it done over the weekend. Does any have or know of anyone with any late summer/early fall hatches that I might be able to buy a few pullets off of? I prefer no RIRs but I want a couple birds at least before winter sets in to slowly build my flock and stagger age. I plan on adding a few more chicks in the spring.
