One of my crested chicks has been so so sick with a respiratory infection. He was in respiratory distress yesterday and seriously gasping for breath. Poor little one. I put him on my nebuliser with nano silver, and gave him silver to drink. He had been on 2 days of antibiotics and stress mix water by this stage (along with his sibs).. but hardly drinking. After about 5 short sessions on the nebuliser I put him to bed and crossed fingers. Today he is so much perkier.. is eating and drinking and not gasping anymore. Hooray!!

looks like a mop that leaves a trail of poo instead of clean floors behind  but glad he's doing better, although will you be glad if he turns into a he?
I know taking early guesses is frowned upon but I am quite confident in my judgement on identifying cockerels by their stare and that one has the most intense stare a chick could have so I know what I would guess.

Thanks for sharing. There are often threads where a chicken has a chronic respiratory problem and I sometimes recommend vaporizing treatments, even though I have never tried it. I can reference this thread now as a treatment. Lots of times people say they can't figure out why a chicken has been gasping for a long time and isn't responding to medications, when it just makes sense that this sort of treatment is definitely worth trying.

It is my pleasure. I am confident that nebulising with nano silver is a good option. It has worked for me so I thought it would help the chick. It gives some instant relief and could be the difference. He is still not out of the woods, so keep your fingers crossed for him 🤞
