God placed me in this world
Hello all,
Many of you know that I have a little Brown Red Cochin rooster named Louie, because, of course, my username is dedicated to him! Well, recently he's been picked on. He may be the oldest (and most mature

) but he IS small. The bigger guys usuallt just pick on each other, and the smaller ones have their own mini fights, but all of the sudden they all chose to go after him! So, not for this reason, but for my ONE hens sake, I locked he and my hen in the coop by themselves to get a little rest from the other roosters. Well, when I locked them up I didn't really notice, because I only went to check on them for five minutes after one of the workers put them in there for me. To get to the point, Louie has NO more neck feathers! There is just a white balled spot and I don't know what to do about it

Any advice would be great. Here are some pictures of his head/neck that I took today:

Thanks in advance,

A hen did that to him? Are you sure she is a hen and not a roo?

His skin doesn't look broken or sore on his neck, the feathers will grow back. I would just clean up his comb and wattles a bit, perhaps put some ointment on them and he will be fine.

Yeah... actually, I have five other roos

I know! I feel terrible about having six roosters and one hen

but I am advertising my roosters for sale and on March 1st I'm getting some hens

Thanks for the advice though! I'll be sure to keep him away

If you notice them starting to break the skin, you could put Blu Kote on it to keep them from pecking at it.

I have had that happen to my birds, actually one got scalped and fully recovered. Just put a little antibiotic human cream on the bleeding spots and it should heal just fine. the feathers will grow back but it takes a LONG time
