Neck grabbing

My hens are at least 2 weeks away from being old enough to lay eggs. My roosters have been grabbing the hens by the neck, is this a prelude to the roos wanting to mate?

It's teen aged mating behavior. How many cockerels do you have. In their clumsy attempts at breeding there is a possibility they can injure the pullets if multiple cockerels try to mate at the same time.

I have 4 roos, there bachelor's pad will be done this weekend so they can be separated from the hens
