Neck Wound: Please advise! (pic might be semi-graphic to some.)

Hi I have a duck and 4 chicks that are about 2 months old and a couple days ago I put them out with my 2 hens that are about 3 years old. Last night I went out to put them up cause it's supposed to be cold today and tomorrow and I found my duck with blood on its neck with a wound about 1 inch long and about a 1/2 inch wide. There isn't any "meat" gone, just the skin and you can see the muscle. It kinda looks like the pic you posted of Beaker.
I had my husband clean it up with a wet cloth and put neosporin on it. Then he loosely rapped it with non stick gauze and taped it so it wouldn't get dirty. I just wanted to know if your duck made it through and if you did anything more than I am.
Ps: I PM'ed you also but I figured I would put it on here to incase someone else could help me too.

Oh also are my older chickens ever going to stop picking on the little chicks and my duck? I guess the little chicks are fast enough to get away when the big ones go after them cause none of them have sores like my poor duck!

Yikes..that's a pretty bad boo boo. Poor ducky. I also have one duck that takes a dislike..but he decides to try and drown them rather than rip them up...so far anyhow. you've gotten some good advice..hope he heals fast..keep us posted!
