The heat lamp is on the edge of the container so they can move if it gets too hot95 F is too hot for 2 week old chicks.
AHH, gotcha, I misunderstood your original post, I thought they were outside as well. I hope you find out what's going on!I keep them right near my bed so that I can hear if something goes wrong. No rodents in the house. I do have a dog but they're up too high for her to get to, and she's always gotten along with smaller animals. It was laying dead right where it had fallen asleep. No other signs of injury but the neck.
95 is too hot for 2 week old chicks. They were both completely fine which is what I'm confused about. The first one was weak from the start, but the second chick was much stronger. When I picked her out, she was running around full of life, which is why I don't think it was wry neck. I always have the temperature set to 95 degrees and it's a heat lamp just for the chicks which are all staying in the same box. They all know how to drink on their own but the white one was too weak, and wouldn't drink even when I dipped her beak.
It is still too hot.The heat lamp is on the edge of the container so they can move if it gets too hot
It's set up so95 is too hot for 2 week old chicks.
Lower the temperature asap.
During the day its 85 to 90 so I usually only keep the lamp on at nightIt is still too hot.
What is the temperature in your house?
Turn it off. It's set up so

It gets down to 60 at night. All the others are strong and show no signs of weakness. The issue is their necks, other than that there are no issuesTurn it off.
At two weeks old they can do fine if not better in 85 degrees.
I think your chicks are over heating and dying.
Forgot to mention, I used to keep it at 90 at night but they'd huddle right under the lamp as if they were cold. That's why I turned it up to 95. My temperature thing is easily 30 years old so it may be offTurn it off.
