I would highly suggest using a proper feeder and putting the top on the waterer and putting them both up on a piece of board or the like so they're out of the shavings. Being able to walk in and poop in the food and water (and tip the water into the food) is not helping anything.

I hope they continue to improve :thumbsup
I've since put the top on the water, I didn't want to use a feeder because I thought it'd be easier to spot if there was anything wrong with the food without one
