Necropsy / Euthanasia CHEAP

OK, So I know this is a sensitive and controversial subject.

Please do not discuss opinions on this thread. Or "how I do it" posts - this is for finding PROFESSIONAL, Public services.

I am posting this to help people out in finding cheap/affordable PROFESSIONAL necropsy and or euthanasia for fowl.

I am not endorsing - just trying to start a yellow pages of a sort.

As owners, sometimes we are faced with this by surprise or emergency.
I think we should have an end of life plan in place and know what we choose to to and where we need to go "just in case".

I was trying to find info for this on this site but could not so...

If you have a local resource for Affordable necropsys and or euthanasia for fowl - that are done by a PROFESSIONAL (not home or neighbors). Please list them here in the following format:

LOCATION: Puyallup, Washington state, USA

SERVICE: euthanasia (controlled carbon dioxide), diagnostic testing, necropsy

TYPE of ANIMAL: poultry and other avian species

FEE: euthanasia not charged with necropsy, other fees on website (I can get a chicken euthanized and basic necropsy for under $25)

NOTES: They do in Washington and out of state although the fees are cheaper as a washington resident. Call them ahead of time (they are super nice) to get info on how to send in or deliver your specimen. The website above is super simple to navigate and has lists of fees and services.

Hi there!

I just called them today. I had a 5 month old pullet fall over dead this afternoon. I called the vet and they told me a necropsy would cost $300. So, I got on line and found the WADDL site and called them - $22.00 for a necropsy, I couldn't believe it..... what a difference.... I'm taking the body in tomorrow.

Thanks for your work, this is much needed. Not many of us bird lovers can afford $300 for a state inspection. - When I called, they were very nice and informative too.....

UC Davis in California does necropsies on chickens, turkeys, waterfowl and squabs for free and they accept them dead or alive. Quail, guinea fowl, peafowl and game birds are $120 for 1-8 birds on same day.
