Look closely at the sciatic nerve... The left side looks different than the right.

I was thinking the same thing Kathy...but wasn't sure if it was enough of a difference to be concerned. The cockerel was vaccinated against Mereks. From what I have read, I think it is only 90% affective though....so this guy might be in the 10% group. I also just had a chicken die from Avian Leukosis...that girl I sent to the A&M lab and had tested. They said she had lesions/tumors on her heart, liver, etc. and I figured if this guy died from the same thing then I would be able to tell by opening him up myself. Boy, was I wrong.
