Need A Hatch Buddy.. Anyone Setting Today 2/26?

Day 21 here, still waiting...... trying to get my humidity to stay up. I'm in the bathroom with the shower running and stuffing wet paper towel and sponges in there! Haven't let it drop lower than 65%....worried about ventilation-seems I can't have both air and humidity....

I have pipping...my humidity has been between 50-54 since day one. I'm not trying to change it since it worked well with my last hatch. The one thing that did go wrong is that my heat spiked...not sure why that happened, but has been corrected. So,hoping it goes well for these eggs. Ugh, don't we just hate the little things we can't control?

Should I be more concerned with ventalation or humidity??? I read a thread earlier that they won't pip at 65%...I've had them around 50-55% up to day 18/19. BLAHHH!

my humidity has been all over the place, i try to keep it around 55 or 60. once hatch starts it will go up.i use a cabinet bator with a couple small holes for ventilation, i dont change anything for hatching. just put eggs lower in bator where it is 1 degree cooler.

Couldn't stand the wait so I inspected them and did a quick float test. 2 Jumped and had one sinker-for sure. Pipped the air cell(which was perfect), the membrane was papery so I put a TEENY dab of water in there, membrane turned transparent and I could SEE the chick moving in there!!!! Moisened the membrane (still intact) and laid wet kleenex over the pip and back in the bator!!!! Humidity @ 70%. I'm stuck to the bator so I will make sure kleenex is moist!! AHHAHHHH thought sinker=dud!!!

i have found that as the baby moves around in the shellit will squeeze moisture from other parts of the egg and help as well, just make shure he can get air.
i am fighting the urge to go home and check on mine to see if any more hatched.

well no pips for me as of yet. keep giving them to the hatching talk LOL

my humidity is at 60% as of right now. and 103 but i keep bringing that down and it goes back up. But unless i am seeing things but see an egg or 2 move just a little bit. and see where someone might have taken a pin and scratched the color off the egg, its white there so lets me to believe they are doing something.

Just hang there everyone they will soon start doing something.

Well, as I picked some shell off the membrane tore. Lots of blood. The chick isn't moving anymore but I can see a large vein and it's still pumping. I can't bring myself to get rid of it until the blood stops moving. sad. There is way more fluid and yolk than I expected (air cell was perfect-maybe the membrane was a little dry). Which leads me to believe the others due today might not be ready.....

Should I increase temp??

Seriously, this is too much. I just checked the egg I pipped...blood pumping, foot moved. It didn't breath yet, it's head is still in liquid....I can SEE a quick pulse (it's been like this for a couple hours). It's in the bator with wet/damp paper towel over the hole. Is there any hope?
