Need A Hatch Buddy.. Anyone Setting Today 2/26?

sorry to hear about the egg Milakegirl.
can you prop it maybe where its out of the water/ sac. Not sure if you can do that or suppose to do it. but I think I would give it a shot. at least it will be out of the sac part of it.

can anyone help her? that is the only thing I can think of to do.

deana

hugs for you

I do have it propped up but there is so much liquid in there (and it's head is sort of ducked between it's feet)....I don't understand how it could still be alive but I SEE it's pulse just now (I'm not touching it so I know it's not my pulse). Again, I could see it moving before the membrane broke (which happened around 1-1:30pm today) and only a little twitch (hour ago-ish) since. I'll leave in alone with the wet kleenex over it....

It wasn't even close to being ready to come out. It had stopped pulsing when I checked it again 5:15. Eggtopsy: so much yolk and fluid! The air cell was perfect, chick had feathers, but was really small. Saw it moving earlier today. Underdeveloped? I don't know about the other 2....both moved in the float test earlier. No pip. They were set at the same time as the small one. I'll just leave them alone for a couple more days and then maybe float them again.

Power went out during high winds today while I was at work. Digital thermometer says the incubator got down to 88-F. It was at 101 when I got home. The power was only out for about an hour, do the 'bators really lose heat that fast? (It's an LG still air.) I figure if it did drop that low that quickly it was only for an hour and hopefully the inside of the eggs didn't drop so far. The eggs are due to go into lock-down tomorrow. I'm not going to take them out and candle for movement and risk cooling them a second time today. So, I'll continue as if nothing happened because what else can I do?

Yesterday I did see one move when I candled an egg, way cool! My husband saw it too and thought it was creepy, LoL! Keep posting pictures guys, I need the hope right now!

We lost power today also. The bators got down to 90. I covered them to keep them as warm as I could until the generator came on. Good thing for the generator, they went out at 1:00 and didn't come back on until almost 8:00 pm. I checked a few and they seemed fine.
