Need A Hatch Buddy.. Anyone Setting Today 2/26?

First time I saw a start of a chick in my eggs last year I had to call everyone into the bathroom with me so they could see it too. they just thought I was crazy. My dd's bathrooms do not have windows so makes it perfect place to candle. Now If i could just use one of them for letting them incubate that would be good LOL

I am going to candle mine a later today to see If i have anything. Been a week today. good luck

I candled mine late last night.,...a day early ( I couldn't wait

) Out of 38 eggs, 26 are fertile. I have 9 sultan eggs and all of them are good, I had two EE bantam green eggs,..only one of them were good

,..and the rest are a mixed flock of OEGB and Silkies. I made a nice candler with my DH's mag light and a piece of cardboard with a hole punched into it.

I tried to candle mine today but was not able to see anything. It just might be me and my flash light Its a small Mag. Will wait till dh gets home and use his and see what I have. Its been one week today so should see something I would think. See humidity is going up a bit so someone is growing in there.

Just threw out 17 eggs out ... absolutely nothing but bubbles and broken air cells. The 7 left are moving nicely and little black eyeballs looking at me. Of course my own showgirl eggs are clear... when is my roo gonna mate on the "right" end of the bird?

The "Just Hatched" refers to your post count. It'll go to "Out of the Brooder" next, I think.

I didn't know that developing embryos cause the humidity to rise, but that would explain why mine has gone up a few points since yesterday.

Day 10 for me. Yesterday I threw out 13/14 SLR eggs. Even the ones with attached air cells didn't develop so I think I received an infertile shipment. The guy on EBay never replies! Imagine that!

So out of my 32 eggs I have 14 left and developing! Not too bad I suppose. 13 Silkies and 1 SLW that I'm leaving in just for the heck of it! Today candling I saw a foot and a little head and beak. The rest was just wiggles and blobs.

Sooooo exciting!

Yesterday I set 14 Lavender Orps, 14 BBS Orps, 3 Wheaton Marans, 3 BCMs, 3 BBS Marans and 4 EEs x Lavender EE Roo!
This hatch date is 3/26. Anyone else?

Here we are... Day 8! Only 6 out of 24 made it to this point. Its going to be tough for these 6. The air cells are terrible.

Here is what I am dealing with:
Chick is moving around fine and has nice veining, but check out the air cell...

This one was waving to me..

So, I just hope I do not need to help too much when hatching.. my kids will be biting their nails over my shoulder
