Need a hatch buddy... First time and NERVOUS!!(March

I am starting my eggs tonight (March 19, 2011)....

This is my first time incubating, and I need a partner to share the scare with...

I am starting with 4. Just to see how well I can get a turn out. So four eggs in the bator. 1 blue ameracauna x RIR roo... And the others are kind of unknown. Lol.

hi,
i set my first eggs on the 17th. it has been very scary for me too. i'd been having drastic temp fluctuations but that seems better today. i don't think anyone gets everything right the first time but most will have success. good luck to you

I just set 18 Bourbon Red Turkeys Eggs yesterday. So I will play along.

Last week I set 72 chickens eggs and 15 turkey eggs.

I have another 18 pack of chicken eggs that will go in as soon as the third bator is ready.

I don't have a "problem", do I?

I set mine at 9am the 19th!

So: our lockdown is April 6th, hatch day April 9th.

So excited! This will be my first hatch as well, and I decided to go with dry incubation since I live in humid Florida.

I'm setting eggs today, we have a thread for the first day of spring! So we are hatching April 10th. Good luck with your first hatch!

I hope it goes really well for you! What kind of incubator are you all using? Mine is home made. My first hatch didn't go so well, but the second was pretty good, and I am 10 days into my third. Are you setting local eggs or shipped? I started with shipped, uggh!

Local is much better for the first few times, much higher success rate, and it lets you see when the problems are your mistakes vs shipping damage.

I set 12 RIR eggs on the 11th so I am looking at Apr 4th as hatch day. I am using an LG with turner.
