Mine hate being hugged, a few roosters tolerate it none of the hens do. and I will admit if a Rooster has a large single comb I will give it a quick peck kiss.

Too funny!.... I just can’t help myself.... MUST kiss what is cute!! But do not kiss them when they’ve just finished dust bathing ... I made that mistake and was crunching dirt for awhile

Huh! Chickens get all the hugs and here I am starving for some - hugs that is! My family is/ was not a huggy one but, somehow I AM. Had one dog that would put her paws around anyone's neck and HUG. She'd stay like that till you pried her off.

I also hug cockerels just before I process them, maybe they received no affection their entire life and I feel I am obligated to do that. Even the mean ones that were processed due to behavior.
