i have three pullets around 11-12 weeks of age and they aren’t going in their coop at night. I notice that they are all huddled in a corner of their run at night. Any suggestions on what I should do? Thanks

I've had luck getting new chickens to learn to come in by:

A.) Locking them in their coop for about a day before releasing them so they know where their home is.

B.) What works the most: Feeding them inside the coop. My chickens rush inside their coop if they see my walk near it and if they hear the container we put feed in being opened now, in addition to automatically going in at night with or without prompting from me.

Good lighting in the coop for the little ones, once they learn where and when to go, then take the light away. They need to be able to see the roosts so they can get to them. I have ladders, but find the chicks dont use them. If they are standing at the door looking in with their neck stretched out, my bet would be not enuf lighting.
Ventilation, if it's to hot in the coop or has ammonia built up they will not want to go in.
Mine have the big girls to follow, they go to roost, then about half an hour later the chicks find their spot.

This was cute, I sat a chick on the roost, she flew down and then realized, I want to be up there. She gave it her best shot to fly up 8 feet to that roost (at 4 weeks old), when she failed I sat her on the roost again, she was happy. I rearranged the lighting so they could see the ladder better, and that fixed that. Most of them were on that bar at 8 feet up.

Providing more light can really help...or just put them in the coop, well after dark works best.
How long have they been living in the coop?
Pics of coop would help.
Good ventilation is important too, especially if it's hot where you live.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile so we know your climate. It's easy to do, then it's always there!
