Need a simple plan please

do you have many auctions around you? I got 6x12 dollhouse type for kids and got them for $400, did have to haul them home, but same one was $1400 if I bought it from amish builder and had him deliver.

I used plywood. The cheap kind!! I got paint that was a mess up at the hardware store. It was $5.00 a gallon thats why its an ugly color! But when you paint that cheap wood it works out fine! Good Luck with your coop!

Christina, your coop looks great. What you used isn't plywood though. It's OSB, oriented strand board. It's used as an underlayment for floors and roofs or underneath house siding. Although they use water resistant resins in the panel, it's meant to be covered with other materials like flooring, shingles, or siding, so it's not waterproof. You really have to keep it covered with paint, especially at the edges, or it will start to absorb water and deteriorate rather quickly.

Oh it is covered with paint. We are going to shingle the roof. The paint has got to be the ugliest color I have ever seen! Its a spicy mustard yellow. But it was cheap!!

Hi Cristina, @ Keene Home Depot we just got the metal roofing for ours. They have red and green just like you would use that wavy stuff, but nicer. We are going to use it to make the silkies a roof because they dont go in out of the rain. They have it online to check out. It was about $18 for a 10x12 size sheet and $20 for a big bag of matching screws. How are all your silkies? There is a poultry show at the Bolton fair this Sunday morning. The info is online if you are interested.

Gotta love the 'oops' paint table.

I finished my new coop last week and wanted barn yard red paint. Went to Home Depot to look for colors and lo and behold there was the PERFECT color of exterior flat latex on the oops table.

There were 3 gallons, no less, too! I picked up a gallon for $5 - kinda wish I'd grabbed the other two gallons now...

The color turned out great too!

Love that oops paint!

Hey Wendy ,
No fair for me this weekend! I have a wedding to go to and I want to finish up the run and any final touches I have to the coop. I made it for my silkies and I want to get them all settled in! Not to mention I dont think I could go to a fair and come home empty handed!! Are you going to the Big E this year? I want to dont know if thats going to happen who knows.
