Thanks for the great pictures! Now I need more cute turkey sayings to post them all! Those are some magnificent birds! A flock of wild ones flew over *OVER* my house a week ago but they are too skiddish to get a picture as close as egh did. I don't want to start feeding them either. Let them stay wild and wary.

Thanks all, I am not sure what I am going to do with the dark tom. I have a light red hen that I am going to put the light tom with next spring. I also have a pair of blue slates and a Royal palm and nargassett hen. I also have a young brown hen that will be old enough to lay in the spring but I kinda like the colored birds better. I might try to sell the 2 brown hens and get a few colored hens instead. I am also thinking of puting the blues and reds together so you might get a cross or 2. Currently I also have 2 toms that will be butchered for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They are getting kinda aggresive and I dont allow that at all. At least I have a few months to think about this one. Jenn

I never realized how pretty turkeys were!! Butterball is all I know about turkeys! I do have a friend at work who has 3 or 4 Rhode Island Reds and one Tom Turkey that he swears is in love with one of the little Red hens! He says that lovesick Tom follows her everywhere and looks out for her like a pure gentleman! If my friends' turkey is as handsome as these - that little Red hen should give him a second look!!!
