I need to get more female ducks to add to my duck flock. I have been concerned about Bird Flu possibly spreading again with the migratory birds. I do NOT want to get my 12 very healthy ducks sick. I have quarantined 2 new groups of ducks before letting them meet the rest of the flock. My ducks have very little contact with other birds in general other than sparrows and finches stealing their food. Is it safe to get new ducks? Am I just being an overprotective duck parent? Any advice is very helpful. Thanks!

As long as you are getting domestic ducks that haven't been in contact with wild ducks, you should be fine. Have you had trouble with it before?

I have not had a problem with bird flu. There are wild ducks and geese in the area, but they do not come in contact with my ducks. Anyway, this summer I lost a duck to bumblefoot. The infection went into her blood. Before I could help her, she died. After that, I'm probably getting a little more concerned about my other ducks.
