Hi I have a a duck about 3 weeks old. I started him on chick grit about two days ago and the first day I started him, that night, he fell on his back and started shaking. I thought it might be the grit so I took him off. That was two days ago and he hasn’t been on it since. When I came him from work today I came in the room and he jumped, then fell over again and started shaking.. I picked him up and held him until he stopped and then was fine but wobbly. I don’t know what to do or what’s wrong with him..

Other than the two times this happened he has been perfectly fine. He eats, drinks, plays, cries, and I constantly check his eyes and they are normal as well.

This is him last week on the left, Luke, with his sibling, Leia on the right. They are magpies.

The shaking wouldn't be caused by the grit. If you are feeding treats other than commercial feed, then they need the grit for digestion.
What feed are the ducklings on?

Flip on back shaking is not cause of grit
I maybe be guessing right
Most of the time when birds flip on their back and start shaking trigger on heart problem

Yes I meant chick starter feed. I was giving them the starter grit, until he had that episode the first time and I thought it might of been that so I took it away. And no he didn’t hurt himself when he fell he acts fine right now but I’m worried it might happen again.
