Need advice- Freeze warning tonight!

I move it every other day or so during the cooler months. There is less grass and such for them to eat. During the summer I try to let the grass and weeds get a little taller in this part of my yard so the chickens can enjoy it. I move it every 2-3 days in the summer.

I've got 18 chicks coming March 20 and 25 on 4/15 or so and I'll be building a hoop coop. Look in the coops forum under this and see. It's cheap easy and quick to build. My daughter and SIL own and run a dog grooming and boarding shop. They are always buying large dog kennels. 8x10 or so. I'm going to look at a craig's list buy today. It's a new 5x10 one that the owner is being transferred immediately and wants to sell. It would work for my 18. Metal on top and wrap in chicken wire. I'm learning to caponize so all the extra roos will go in a grow out pen. I'll have over a doz between the 2 orders. Probably 20 now that I think about it. Man. I'm dumb.

Hope it works or will have a lot of noisy chickens.
