So I came home from work and found all 4 of my hens with dried blood on their beaks. One worse then the others. 3 of them are just superficial and I'm not concerned about them. My Maple is a little worse off. Seems the very tip of the top beak broke off. Her dried blood area is larger and stretches across her beak. She seems to be in some pain as she has been standing fluffed up, tail down, eyes closed at certain times. She is drinking, eating and getting around fine. I made a warm mash from their pellets, they all ate. She immediately ate meal worms. I just cant tell how deep the injury goes. I didn't want to stress her out anymore today so I will check in the morning. I didn't put anything on their beaks, I was afraid to stress them out more. It's been very windy today so maybe the wind spooked them. Seems like they got their beaks caught in the hardware cloth. I've seen it happen with them before. I've attached some photos. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advanceA
