Need advice on duck pen.

is a 10 feet long by 5 feet wide run enough room for 4 swedes?

Will this area have a shelter in it as well? And Will they be allowed out to freerange at times?? You can get away with a smaller run if they also have time out each day to forage as well. The smaller the area you have- the quicker it becomes a muddy mess with ducks.

I would think it would be OK for only 4. I had I think 7 Anconas in a pen that was 6x12 feet for a while (and it did get dirty quick.)

Right now I have six Anconas in a 10x12 pen made of chain link panels--- it was a dog run. I'm going to have to move the pen today because we had snow yesterday and the ducks really made a mess of things.....
