I hatched a second egg from my Rhode Island whites, yeah she was a smaller chick at hatch due to egg size but in 2 days she was caught up to the others that had hatched with her almost. couldn't tell you the lady took all 4 2 day olds, that's a JFYII'll try the turner this time and if it isn't good enough, I'll try something else.
It said prime shipping on the order, but oh well. It gives me more time to collect eggs. I have 11 right now, I'm hoping to get about 20. My barred rocks eggs are small so I'm only taking 2 of hers so I'm not wasting eggs everyone can eat if the eggs have issues during incubation.
Thank you for those tips. Im putting everything in our spare room, it is pretty perfect with temperature.
Only thing I worry about in our house is my cat. Once the chicks hatch in the incubator I'm going to have to lock him out because he will definitely jump on top of it and try to get them through the windows.
