As harsh as it seems you must relocate it over 150 miles away. we had fwc trap and relocate one that was threatening campers at a fish cleaning station, they trapped it, tagged it and took it 100 miles away to relocate it in the st. johns river. 24 days later that little tagged rascal was back begging for fish at the table. Yes they are incredible cute and very loveable BUT they have a mouth full of razor sharp teeth and are not afraid of using them. luckily for this little guy there was a local indian tribe that wanted him for their breeding and show so he did not end up as a pelt but he was a lucky little guy. florida has a good supply of them. Trap them however you can or lead poison (BULLET) will work also. Just make sure you can legally do it or look for a nuisance animal trapper and let him deal with the trapping and disposal of this PREDATOR. Man why does something so cute have to be so bad???????? Good luck. Oh buy the way the one that was trapped in fla was trapped in a live trap and they used only a scent as bait, no fish or cat food. They have a great nose and use it always.
