Need advice on moving chicks to outside pen.

But what if there is no Mama Hen? I only three chicks I started out with 4 weeks ago. No other hens to guide them out there. Although the oldest, a BO mix, seems to take the "leader" role and the other two follow it around as if it is the mother hen, but really it's just a tad bit bigger than the other two.

I have 11 2 week old chicks and 4 2 week old turkeys living in their own pen with a box for shelter. They are on day 3 today. This morning they were all doing fine again. Scratching and eating. In these situations you be the mama hen. Watch them and make sure they are happy and comfortable. Other than that, let them be....let them be chickens.
