Need advice please day 21

Its day 21 of incubation here and i have 11 eggs that were all live and kicking at day 18 when i went into lockdown,at 7am today i looked in on them and the egg in the centre appears to be trying to pip in the middle of the egg and some of the shell is on the bottom of the incubator,does this look normal? Its my first time,i know its the wrong place for the chick to pip and im not sure of what the white bit is? Should i not be able to see the chicks beak? Any advice would be great on what i should do please x

Everything looks pretty normal to me.

The pip seems slightly lower down the egg than normal, but not much, and your egg is pretty round. The white is the outer membrane, and it's dry. If you picked up the egg and felt it, it would be like soft parchment or dried skin. After the chick hatches and you open the incubator, it will dry out and be a lot like really thin eggshell, or paper-mache. You'll be able to pull it out and crack it. The chick has probably already poked through it, but the membrane will flap back closed, so you only see the white. Just be patient. It can be several hours (sometimes as many as twelve, in my experience) between the external pipping and zipping.

Its been 15 hours now since external pipping,i still see movement but only a tiny bit more shell has come off and i can see a tiny bit of the chick x

The one bit of advice i can give from almost 15 years of incubating.....just let them be....chickens were hatching out of eggs long before the current strain of Homo Sapien existed. Ive had a pip on day 19 and nothing new till am of 20. Nature has a way

Hi,i currently have 4 hatched chicks and 3 pipped,the hatched seem to be shivering what can i do to help them dry out quicker?x

I pull chicks out of incubator to dry out in brooder under heat. Make sure they have cool area to move too if too hot. 95F under heat is your target for first week.

This is normal adjustment. If your temp is good, they will be fine. Congrats!!!
