Need advice please day 21

Try reading #11657 on the thread Hands on hatching and help. I would give the little chick more time, but if you decide it needs help this may be helpful to you. Be aware this could take hours if you decide to "help". I had a broody who left this one behind.

Great job! you get a pat on the back from me!! :hugs

Quick question, how often are the chicks meant to poop? There doesn't seem to be much mess at all, none of them have any stuck on their bums but theres none in the brooder either x

As long as they are eating and drinking and rushing about, they are fine. If your litter in the brooder is moderately deep you might not notice it too much yet. If you are worried put down some paper towel on the floor of the brooder and let them be on that for a day or so. Great to keep checking their butts too, though.

Any advice on how to perk up a weak chick, all the others are very active and move in and out of the heat plate but one just stays under the heat all the time :(

NutriDrench vitamins, almost full strength with a dropper to the side of the beak, very carefully because you dont want to drown the little one. If you dont have nutridrench, its a great idea to get some, but for immediate help try some strong sugar water with a tiny little bit of molasses mixed in. Keep posting if nothing changes.
