I just got home from work and found 4 of the eggs have pips thru the shell but not the membrane. The one that piped at 5am hasn't done anything more. My humidity has been around 60-67%. I hear some soft peeping sounds still. Should I do anything yet?

That is normal for them to push pieces of shell off without breaking through the membrane. Wait 24 hours from the time a shell has pipped before you even think about doing anything since the hatch is just starting. If after that, you think one of the membranes is very dried up and tough, it may need to be moistened so the chick can break free. Your humidity is good, but you may want to even bump it up slightly higher to right at 70%, especially if they seem to be having a hard time getting out.

Like Cyn says, get your humidity up around 70 to 75%....and Patience!!...24 hrs. from the first pip usually and then its zip he/she will be out!.....

I know it's very hard...lol...Been there, done that!

You guys are life savers, I feel better now. When my first one piped this morning I thought I'd come home from work and have litte chicks all over the place. At lease now I'll get to see them hatch.
