I would not personally stay out of such a situation because it might cause me problems. Reasons I would stay out of it include not being sure if the mother has the same habits, not being sure if this other woman is without a doubt trustworthy, not being sure if the mother would be a bad mother to the child, etc. I would also work to find support from others who know the mother to act as character witnesses if I was truly concerned for the well-being of the child. I would also work to protect myself if testifying as much as possible. I would focus on the good qualities of the people who have been looking after him, and talk to his dad for sure. I would look into what rights the father has to his child. I would focus on the use of drugs and alcohol to excess by the mother, any known neglect of the child, and not on the multiple sexual partners. Getting a sitter to go out clubbing is not something that is going to hold up, but not getting a sitter while clubbing is. That is where I would personally stand on the issue.
