Need advice.

So, one of my dog's passed away as I said many times. However, I have a new problem now.



This is Buster. He is my other dog. He seems very depressed after Ladybirds passing.

A little back story about Buster. He is a rescue dog. We found him abandoned on an Indian Reservation at 4 months old during a project in North Idaho. We took him in.

He and Ladybird were good friends for almost their whole lives.

He seems very depressed now. Is there anything that I can do to help him cheer up?

keep him company, with hugs or at least touch, frequently if he wants it.

He's lonely, and might like the right new friend sooner rather than later.

Get him out on walks and have upbeat fun times. He will be sad a few days but Dogs don't hang onto sadness too long..

We're going for a drive. It looks like its helping him.

Car rides and a trip to the dog park will brighten his day. If another dog is in his future, let it happen in time. Don't rush. When the right dog comes along you'll know.

Like the others said, spend time with him. Don't get a new dog right away, as it will only stress him out. Best of luck to you guys.

If there is no improvement a trip or call to his vet could be warranted to rule out any underlying illness.

I just wanted to say thank you all. He got over the death of his friend. We've been taking him on walks to my fishing spot almost every day. He's doing just fine now.

He is back to normal.
