They’re a Cayuga, Saxony and Swedish mix. Both hatched on day 24. Both made an appearance on day 23. Now the other 3 have made an appearance so I’m expecting them next day or so.Brush a tiny drop of coconut oil on the exposed dry membrane, that'll help keep it moist. Depending on how much membrane is exposed, you may have to do this every 1-2 hours.
That's all you can really do for now, as you say, there are too many veins to assist further.
Wow day 24... Do you have a calibrated thermometer? Your temp could be a bit high. What breed did you say they were? Calls can hatch as early as day 26, but generally most others take 28- as you know. If the temp is a bit too high, they will develop faster.
I'm glad they're doing okay though!
And ohh that makes more sense- still, dry paper towels are best for bleeding, as you want to bleed to dry up.
Think I have coconut oil somewhere.
From what I know the temp was fine humidity was also fine. But yesterday humidity raised quite high for some reason but it’s back to normal. Had the hydrometer in the incubator from day 1.
It’s only a little bit of the membrane that’s exposed as I was going to assist but when I saw the blood veins thought better not the now. Main thing is they can all breath so won’t have to worry about any suffocating.
Thanks for the advice.
