My first hatching was a success! One of my chicks finally came out and I have another one on the way. I need to know how long I need to keep this chick in the incubator before I can put it under a heating lamp! Please answer soon!!

I'd keep the chick in until he's dry. Some people think it's better to wait until all the chicks have hatched, but others say it's fine to just take the chicks out when their dry. It's really your choice.

If I had more egg's in the incubator I would not be in a big hurry to open the incubator and the chick has three days worth of feed stored inside ....
