Thank you KikisGirls - I just fell asleep again - it is 11:45 pm here now - I think this will get done tomorrow afternoon since I am off work tomorrow, too

I will just go and check on them now

Thank you so much for all your posts and support!!!:love

ok, wow, so I think this did the trick

hosed everything down with pyrethrins mix and they seem to be sleeping now without kicking

hope I did not poison anybody

and will have to see if it lasts

would you re-treat? how many days apart? I still don't know what this was really

I need to re-treat the ivermectin for the feather mites, which we definitely also have, in the next three days - but I thought I'd give it a break and keep the two treatments apart, at least a couple of days

phew - too much trouble, but I guess it is ok

the forum help is always awesome - and especially yours, KikisGirls, with this stressful outbreak this year...:barnie :he :hugs :celebrate

Yes retreat.
Do NOT wait longer than...7 - 10 days.
If so you will need to re treat again.
They are constantly laying eggs...which hatch.
You need to kill them before they get to the egg laying stage.

I'm not quite awake so forgive me if that is confusing.
I can try again in a different way in the morning.

wow - thanks so much for the fast reply, KikisGirls!

ok, I think I will re-treat the ivermectin in 3 days and then the pyrethrins in 7 days and the last ivermectin 7 days after that - have to stay on top of it now

I thought the birds started to look better from the ivermectin treatment already, but I know that those mites also tend to return - so I will stay on it, as much as we all hate this, and hopefully can save everyone, except the mites
