For those of you who are checking for fertility as you break your eggs to eat,
AND have good photography skills,
please post some pics here of yolks, both fertile(blastoderm) and infertile(blastodisc).
ETA...The blastodisc(little white dot) is always present in a yolk.
becomes the blastoderm('bullseye') when fertilized.
I will put together an article that we all can link when folks ask.
It's hard to get good pics.
2 biggest things to think about:
They need to be well lit, but composed so glare from light does not obscure the spot.
Macro focus is best..maybe some of the newer cameras are good at this without a separate setting.
This pic was lucky....

so I went and grabbed my 20yo digital camera with macro mode.
