Need guidance on Silkie Cross

Hello everyone, the silkie I rescued is a a silkie x cornish cross roo.

Is he doomed?? Appropriately 9 months old and doesn't eat like a glutton.

No, he'll be just fine if he's that mix. Cornish cross can be short lived, but they are bred specifically to grow fast and it only lasts for that one cross, not in successive generations.

Thank God. He's such a sweet boy even with everything he went through and I want him to have the best life he can. He didn't even flog me when I caught him.
