Need guy help for a man gift!!!

If he has a couple of good knives, but not an entire set, you might think about a real good boning knife. I use mine nearly as much as I use my chef knives!

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate all the suggestions. We were at a party last night and I overheard him specifically mention that he's trying to find hickory wood for smoking, so I'll definitely try to locate some! I'll also try to find the meat thermometers, boning knife and maybe a paring knife too. Feels good to finally have some concrete ideas - thanks!!!
