Need help! 4 days left, and incubator dropped temp!!

:fl
Did you figure out why the temp dropped?
I assume you got it back up to where it belongs?
I did get the temperature and humidity back up! My guess is that the lady who was taking care of it forgot to close the lid all the way? That's my best guess...
I had another worrisome moment at around noon today. The incubator starting the alarm because the outside room temperature was too cold to maintain a solid 99.5°F... which is strange because it is inside the house! I really hope this loner chick makes it... it has been through a lot!

I also think I got my days wrong. I think today is Day 19! So hopefully tomorrow I will see a pip. :fl

Ok so today I didn't see any pips. I know it can take longer, especially with the ups and downs so I am not worried yet.
If anyone has a Brinsea, can you answer? Is Day 1 the hatch day or Day 0? Because if it is Day 0 then today was actually Day 19 and I should see a pip tomorrow...
Of course, something could happen overnight too! At this point, it is a waiting game. :th

What day/date did you set eggs in the incubator?
24hrs AFTER you set the eggs is Day 1, Day 18 is lockdown, Day 21 - 25 hatch.
If the eggs get sweaty or stinky, it's no good (rotting). Remove & bag cause if left it will explode and contaminate the other eggs AND a real mess to clean.

Example: If you put the eggs into the incubator March 18 at 8pm, March 19/8pm is Day 1. So Day 18 is April 5/8pm, April 8/8pm is Day 21...IF that's your time frame, patience.

@aart Correct me if I'm wrong.

I looked back and I found a photo of the egg on Day 4, which was on March 24th. So I set the eggs on the evening of March 20th. That means today is Day 20 and tomorrow is Day 21. No pips yet.
I am concerned at this point because I have to keep opening the incubator twice a day to re-wet the sponges. If I don't do this, the humidity drops too low, even with both water chambers completely full. After this hatch I am going to do some serious experimenting with it because for the amount of money I payed I shouldn't have to deal with sponges and opening it during lockdown! This evening, I did a quick candle. I didn't take the egg out or anything, I just lifted the lid slightly when I was grabbing sponges and put the candler in front of the air sac. Since I first posted, the air sac has grown drastically and is lopsided. It extends much further to the right than the left. The rest of the area above the sac is dark, but it looks like the area between the air sac and the chick is lighter in color. I am not sure what this is, the yolk maybe? It also appears the chick may have shrunk? I may be mistaken but I think I remember the dark blob extending further down, basically to the point of the Day 18 air sac. I didn't have time to keep looking, but it brought me here! I really don't want this little guy to quit on me... any thoughts???????? How do you tell when an egg has quit??
