Need Help ASAP!! Daughter brought home 5 wild bunnies.

Quote:
If wild rabbits follow the same developmental pattern as domestic ones, they open their eyes at about 10 days old and should already have a good, albeit thin, covering of fur. I have supplimented baby bunnies with goats' milk, but never tried raising them completely without momma. Sounds like you're doing a great job. Good luck!

Henhouse how is ot going?

---So far so good with the remaining 4. One of the tiny ones is requiring a bit more work than the others.

I can't really tell if they are eating the other rabbit poo???? But they are pooing.

Id check your code of state or county, its illegal most places to own wild rabbits. We tried that when a girl from school brought one in her purse, our neighbor happened to be the humane association manager and he was able to relocate our little "Jack".

Update--we are now down to 3--the little tiny one passed this afternoon. The others are doing really well. They now have their eyes open and jump when we reach into the nest box to get them. We have added some hay and tree material to the box and removed the towels, no need for a bun to smell like Gain when its released. We will keep these until healthy and big enough to manage on their own.

Thanks for the encouragement.

Try offering them a little bit of plain grass. Its what they will eat in the wild. If they eat it, they are ready to go. Just make sure there are no chemicals on your lawn. I'd watch for flowers too because some are piosonous to them. Dandelions would be OK though.
