what all do you feed the chickens?
how old is the hen?
you can make up this mix::
a little feed, a little watered cooked oatmeal, a little plain yogurt, cooked egg yolk..make it up so it isn't wet..just puffy..
you can place a tiny dab on her beak..or in the front part of the beak., or roll into a pellet and place in front of mouth..
hopefully she will be able to eat and drink on her own.
try and get some poultry vitamins to add to her water..
or you can use:
Poly-vi-sol liquid baby vitamins, Enfamil brand if possible..no iron..give 3 drops on beak once a day for a week if she is a standard size hen..
2 drops if a bantam..then taper off for a week...
you can get Poly-vi-sol at any pharmacy, including Walmart and some grocery stores.
what antibiotic did the vet give her?
