I was just posting hoping you'd show up! YES! I'd love to see photos of your roos!

So... if you had to choose one of 4 in the photos, which one would you choose?

#5 is Dom, the one that's in the pen with Emily consoling her while she rests. He's a sweetheart, and as far as I know hasn't tried to peck me yet. He's the smallest of the bunch, but still young. He's the one I'm leaning towards, and as long as he doesn't have any serious DQs, I think he's the one I'll stick with until the next group grows up.

This is Oliver...the sweetest Brahma ever....

Him and the older girls....

Some young pullets I hatched out this Spring, one has started to lay...

My roo and the older hens tend to lose a few foot feathers from mating alot!!...when he is kept by himself he has great feathering..

I honestly like all your cockerals except #3's comb is just little too much...so any of them would make a nice roo..remember to go on their personality too...

Sandy, your Oliver is soooo handsome! Beautiful birds you have there. My only Lt Brahma, Miranda, is molting right now and even looks a bit pale in her face. She's a sweet girl as is my Buff Brahma, Caroline.

I really love my brahmas, even more so then the orps...I'll always keep Brahmas around...my pen is starting to look like a huge pillow fight is underway!!!...molting time for sure...

Thanks Tufoldhen... they ARE beautiful birds. I love mine, which is why I chose them as one of my main breeds. Oliver is a beaut... I think he's pretty close to the standard, isn't he? Mainly white, with the black hackles and pretty green/black droopy tail... I have one roo that the tail sticks up more, almost like a hen! :| None of mine have the pure white saddles, though.
The combs - those are considered "walnut"? Or "rose"? They're not flat lumps like the Wynadottes... #3's comb is kind of lopsided, so it almost looks single in the photo. Here's a head-on with him (and Emily).

He's almost as big as my Sampson was.

BTW... I'm jealous of your yard... (the photo of the girls and the table/chairs). I miss the lush green.

We ripped up our yard to put in a new septic, and now it's all sand...
