I would go with the pekin. Rouens get really big.

So do Silver Apple yards.
okay looked them up and here is when full size weights Pekin 8-11lbs...Rouen 9-10lbs. and SA's 6-8 lbs.

Both pekins and rouen are large breed. both will be 8 lbs birds. Pekins aloud though, and rouens are so pretty

Good gracious he is needy! Just went to bed after snuggles and he cried for 5 minutes. But I love him lol. He helped me unpack earlier and snuggled with his toy ducks while I was at work

OldGal and I raised a lone duckling once, (long story) and it did fine. Two hints:

1. Do not teach it to do anything as a duckling (like sit on your shoulder and give you kisses) that you won't want it doing as a full grown duck.
2. It will imprint on you and follow you around forever.
