My rooster's feet and legs are very red & scales are raised, and one point he was even limping. Not having problems w/ any other chickens. We have used Nu Stock for several months, used cooking oil, Adam's flea spray, vet Rx oil & ivermectin. Took him to vet 4/13 and he said it was bacterial. Put him on clavamox 15 ml 0.25 ml 2x day. A week into I left the Rx out all day. Called vet next day he was out. He's the only one who treats chickens, so he went all wknd w/ no meds. He's still on the meds I just can't see where it is helping at all. I soaked them in warm soapy water w/ beta dine in the water tonight. Was going to try the vet Rx oil again in the am. Does anyone have any suggestions. At this point I have no idea what else to do. I have researched it, and followed all the suggestions still no better.

I'm not an expert. But all my chickens have 2 feet, which makes 68 feet, so I am familiar with them.

Can you post some pictures of the legs?

Your vet may have put the chicken on an antibiotic, but different bacteria need different antibiotics to kill it. I wonder if he could send a skin scraping to see what you're dealing with.

You may need a different antibiotic, or have you even thought it may be some fungus? If you have some cream or spray for Jacque Itch, or Athletes feet, you could try that. Or also try that thick triple antibiotic cream. Could it be an allergy? I wouldn't know how to tell.
Hopefully you can get him to send a skin scraping so you know for sure what you're dealing with-instead of spending weeks and months treating all the things she may not have. Please update!

Oops, I was writing as the pics went up.

We were originally told that it was fungal and to use the Nu Stock. Did that for 3 months went thru 2 tubes. It did help I guess because when we first started the Nu Stock he was limping. He's not limping now, but really no other improvements.
