Ok I have 10 geese 8 are under a year old the other 2 are handers Mike is 3 and Fred is 4 . They have fought in the pass but I expected it this year Mike is being very aggressive to Fred.like blood all over I had to pull off his wing was all bloody. I have him separated and stick one of the girls in there. What would you people do or recommend. 20180204_135247.jpg

I did that post on my phone so I could use that picture I am having a senior moment here. I pulled mike off of Freds wing man he had a grip. some how I re posted my post. mike is still threating Fred through the fence and Fred is not happy about being cooped up. it has been very noisy here.

Sounds like normal gander behavior when hormones start flowing. :hmm I don't have another gander now but boy my Muscovy drake and gander can get into those. Last year when I went out to break up yet another fight My gander hit me in the shine with his knob on his wing I had a goose egg come up and stay for over a week. He meant it for the drake [I think] But I got in the way. If you have a way you could let Fred and his girl out and put Mike and a friend in solitary confinement for a while? That way Fred could have some free time.

Sure glad you didn't have to pull the wing off. Whew.

Thanks every one I was feeling emotional over the week end my best friend bobbie the sheltie passed Fri. Am he was 16 . so when I saw the ganders fighting and blood I lost it.

I was watching Mike he was throwing himself at the fence trying to get to Fred I want to make it so Fred has more space but I will have to put up regular fencing and high enough so he can not go over. any suggestion . I might have to put mike up boy that will be a feat. they move pretty fast when the want to. if he keeps this up he will be losing his happy home. it is a shame he is a pretty bird.
