Is it an Ameraucana? Those slate blue legs and small pea comb make me think it is. If it's an Ameraucana I would say girl. Keep an eye on those saddle feathers though, they sweep down a bit more than I normally see in a hen.

Agreed. Ameraucanas only come in a few specific colors and always have a large beard

No worries! No one knows it automatically. We all have to learn.

Well 'Americana' was tagged (at the top), and my ameraucana girls had no beards until they were a certain age, and they were very red, and they only laid blue eggs. So I was going of of experience, pictures, the owners tag, and my personal lack of EE's.
